Keep Flying The Flag

July 22, 2010

I have noticed in the last few weeks since the world cup ended a banner floating around on people’s emails and on face book with the slogan Keep Flying. At first I thought it was an advert for one of the airlines and the more I saw it, the more curious I got.

So eventually I decided to go see what it was all about and went onto their website. After spending a bit of time on it, I realized that this was something I wanted to support and be a part of.

In my opinion who ever started it needs a great big pat on the back as I think it is going to do great things for us all, because it’s going to help build our nation and create unity amongst us all, which has been lacking for as long as I can remember.

Up until the world cup we all had our own agenda’s and to be honest I was one of those people. All we did was bitch about everything, and then carry on with our lives with out actually doing anything positive about it.

Let me tell you the World Cup was an awesome experience for me and really I have never been so proud to be a South African, the memories will remain with me forever and I am truly gratefully that I can say I was there. I’m pretty sure all of you can say the same thing, as the vibe and the way all South African’s came together was truly remarkable.

And it just shows you there is a lot of hope for us if we all just do a little bit to make it better.

Anyway back to keep flying – here’s their website Keep Flying – go support it, grab the links and place it in your email, if you have a website go put the logo up. If you don’t know how to do these things then just go tell everyone you know about it.

Lets all get involved in making our country a better place, because we can if we try.

Also here is the link to their Face Book Page – it has some awesome video’s which will put a lump in your throat.

Thanks for sharing Dale. I’ll add the logo to my site shortly. I agree, it truly was an amazing experience and we need to keep the spirit alive.

It is important to try and keep the flag flying, if we look back at the World Cup – South Africa really pulled together and all the tourists I came across commented on how patriotic and proud we all were.
And as far as I’m aware – the crime rate dropped – let’s pull together for a better SA.

    Thanks for sharing.

Excellent idea and I truly hope that all south africans can keep up the same spirit and unity as we all had in the world cup.
